Made from the same material as the shock body (both are aluminum) to ensure that the thermal expansion of both parts is the same, which seriously reduces fading. 4. The FTR piston offers more low speed damping without affecting the high speed damping. This improves the stability of the bike especially successful for faster riders. 5. Hard coated for wear protection and long time riding without change of damping characteristic. 6. The standard piston weighs over 150 grams. The FTR piston weighs less than 50 grams which saves you 100 grams of unsprung mass.
